Accelerated Freefall

This program is called "Accelerated Free Fall" (AFF) because the learning process is three to five times faster than the traditional static line progression program. The AFF Program is designed to provide private instruction for the student who is seriously interested in becoming a skydiver. It can also be used by the person who simply wants to take one jump. It utilizes the skills, techniques and equipment that have recently evolved in skydiving.

In the AFF course, a student is shown stability and practices it with direct assistance within a larger time frame (10,500 feet for a 45 second free fall). Three practice pulls and the actual ripcord pull are made, and direct assistance is provided when necessary. More learning takes place at a faster pace, with fewer jumps.

The student progresses through seven levels at his or her own pace. The skills required to exit and fall with stability and control are practiced and developed through intensive ground training and direct in-the-air supervision. Successful execution of aggressive hook-ups, 360 degree turns, back and front loop and tracking (forward speed) are achieved as the student progresses through the seven levels.

The student also learns awareness, the use of instruments, spotting, relative work safety procedures (two or more jumpers working together in free fall), and to experience the excitement, fun and adventure of Skydiving.
